For the Guys
Stop being embarressed
Most men experience difficulty with erections, rapid ejaculation, or delayed ejaculation at some time, and this is entirely normal. When it is frequent or pervasive, one partner or the other usually decides this is a "problem."
Uneven sexual desire and dissimilar preferences in sexual style are normal and inevitable in long-term relationships. It is how you handle these that makes the difference.
Many men have low sexual desire, too. Just like women, lots of men know what it is like to feel pressured by their spouse’s larger sexual appetite.
Men’s sexual difficulties usually decrease intimacy, too. When either partner has frequent dysfunction or low desire, both partners eventually retreat during sex into separate mental worlds of worry and frustration. Mind-reading during sex is not quite "the most intimate thing two people can do."
On confidential questionnaires, half of all males say they are not happy with their sex life (many complain about their wives). Most do not seek professional help, but in the privacy of a therapist’s office, the most common problems of males are “I can’t get it up” and, essentially the opposite, “I come too quickly.” Most males have had a few experiences with a weak or partial erection, especially when drinking, tired, rushed, lacking privacy, or with a new partner. Anxiety is a common factor here. When the male is unable to get an erection over 25% of the time, it is called “impotency.”Psychological reactions to impotency add to the problem, of course. Most of the cases with erection problems can be helped by psychological treatment.

When problems develop in sexual performance or enjoyment, a logical approach is (as in many other problem areas) to look for causes. What has happened? When did problems begin? How did they progress? Quite often hypnotic regression may prove revealing, locating sources of problems and indicating the appropriate therapeutic procedures to resolve them.
