What it can do for you

Set you free

I go on about freedom all the time, but only because it is so important to us. We all value our freedom, and it comes in different forms.Personal freedom is where you can let go of something and finally be free of it. If you are a smoker, when I teach you to cure yourself, freedom from that additction will be a fantistic feeling. Freedom from running to the loo every 5 minutes with IBS would change your life. A trauma from the past that you keep living can cripple you, your family and friends, but when I remove this memory and those feelings then teach you self hypnosis-you will be free at last.Be free from overeating or nervous dispositions the list is endless.

You will be surprised how many of us are trapped by something in our heads and you will be more surprised to here the stuff come out and get sorted. After hypnosis and therapy you feel great in addition to the main reason you were there. The feeling of relaxation and calmness only cements and helps bed down the work just done on the uncouncious, and some people come to me just for that-its great!

Again lack of freedom is not responding to feelings in a way that takes care of the problems causing the feeling. Smoking, drinking alcohol, overeating are only ways of temporarily coping with the feeling, by distracting yourself from the feeling. But since the cause has not been satisfied, it returns again and again. This will eventually lead to frustration in dealing with the issue/s, helplessness and depression. What to do?

Identify and name the feeling.
Determine the cause of the feeling
Satisfy the feeling
.

Common Problems

Phobias

Hypnotherapy and Overcoming Phobias Intellectually, you know the plane isn’t going to crash. Logically, you know the audience isn’t going to hurt you or that tiny spider does not want to bite you. But still your heart pounds; your hands shake, your breath becomes labored, and you may feel faint. You know the fear isn’t rational, but it’s real. And whatever your fear is, it’s probably holding you back. Hypnotherapy is probably the single most effective treatment for overcoming fears and phobias. This is because the phobic response is created at the subconscious level even though it is experienced consciously. We have found that most phobias, even those that have lasted an entire lifetime, can be overcome in a few sessions.

Most phobias are initiated as part of a “one time learning” process. That is, some single event initiated the phobia and it is stored in the subconscious mind where it repeats like an endless tape. Using hypnosis we can use this natural ability to unlearn the phobia, often just as quickly as it was created. What is a phobia and how does hypnosis help specifically? Phobias seem to be an expression of a natural defense mechanism within humans. We have within us the ability to learn certain things very quickly.

A baby usually learns the first time that touching something orange and glowing will hurt. The infant does not need to be taught any theory about it. From the first time she touches a flame she will automatically feel something like fear or aversion whenever she comes near a flame. In fact she will find as she grows older that she can’t touch a flame even if she wants to. She will have a strong physical aversion. As a second important survival mechanism, we can respond physically to danger even before we recognize the danger. If you were walking down a path in the woods and something wriggling fell out of a tree and onto the ground in front of you, you would jump back three feet in defense before you could even tell if it was a snake or a piece of bark. Your pupils would be dilated, your breathing rapid, and adrenaline would be released into your system, making you shake with nervous energy.

Phobias seem to be the result of a similar process. Something frightens a person and a whole range of uncomfortable body chemistry is triggered. Every time that same item (the cause of the phobia) is encountered the same uncomfortable feelings return. All of this happens on a subconscious level. Many times, the original cause of the fear is forgotten. I will provide you with the tools to remove the fear permanently. Sometimes the approach involves getting to the root of the fear so you can understand
and eliminate it. In other situations, they can help you break the stimulus-response pattern that’s been set up so that what used to scare you just doesn’t anymore. Depending on the client and the fear, this normally only takes two to four sessions.

Pain Management

Chronic Pain Management Pain is your body’s warning mechanism —it lets you know something is wrong and that your attention is needed. It quickly alerts you to situations that could be harmful, such as touching a hot surface. It also reminds you, when you have an existing injury, to take care and not do anything that could make the injury worse. It is extremely important not to turn off or reduce pain without first identifying and treating the underlying cause.ouch It is essential to consult with and have a referral
from your doctor before making an appointment.to treat pain using hypnosis. Have you ever cut yourself without realizing it and find that sometime later, when you actually noticed the cut, it started to feel painful? Up until that moment, your mind had successfully ignored the pain signals from your body. We are all naturally able to do this. Hypnosis can enable you to release natural pain-blockers called encaphalins and endorphins into your body to lessen or eliminate suffering. It can also help you learn to tune out or turn down chronic pain. Hypnosis has been successfully used with arthritis patients, victims of back injury, cancer victims, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and fibromyalgia patients. It has even been used to dramatically lower the acute pain of childbirth.
Almost all pain will respond to hypnosis, whatever the cause. Of course, it takes practice. The more you use it, the better it will work for you. You can’t expect to be hypnotized once and have your back pain disappear for the rest of your life. But with practice you can achieve remarkable results. I will help you learn to diminish and manage your pain.

Stress

We all get stressed. Some of us can deal with it, some cannot. It can totally ruin our lives and destroy everything we have built up for ourselves including relationships and families even. In everyday life some of us think we are doing everything we can to stay healthy: by getting lots of sleep, exercising regularly and trying to avoid fried foods. But sometimes we forget one important thing. Relax! Stress has a bigger impact on your health than you might realize, stress affects the immune system as well as our minds. Thankfully, stress is not always negative, certain kinds of stress that are very desirable (for instance: romantic stress, job promotions, athletic competitions or perhaps winning the lottery) but stressors that produce debilitation, depression, excessive smoking, overeating, anger, grief and other reactions that cause dysfunction and unhappiness need to be dealt with and released; and more painsometimes therapeutic intervention. Stress is a fact of life. We can't eliminate all stressful
situations any more then we can create a better past.

The good news is that we can alter our perceptions and reactions to stress.

Stress can be a reaction to people, places, events or things. Threats may be real or imagined. Remember... the subconscious mind does not analyze, and sometimes by the time depression appears, the conscious mind has lost its ability to do so too. However, the causes of the stress can be recognized, defined and often eliminated. Regression to cause therapy is a valuable technique in the discovery process.

Fight or Flight? Under threatening conditions, mankind still resorts to a primitive survival mechanism known as the fight or flight response, a means of dealing with perceived danger, threats or attacks. When the conscious mind can no longer handle threatening stimuli, the subconscious prepares us for fight or flight..... Our hearts pumps harder, adrenaline races through our systems, blood pressure rises, super strength can be generated.... We are ready for a physical confrontation. But sometimes there is nothing to fight. We can't physically fight the environment or a job, an accident, a bad decision and so on.

Weight issues

Most people who are overweight eat when they are stressed, bored or simply to comfort themselves. We’re all familiar with the stereotype of an unhappy person curled up on a couch eating ice cream right out of the container. These eating habits leave them feeling fat, depressed, disgusted, embarrassed and powerless. Your Subconscious Reasoning The reason you overeat may not be at all clear to you. oh dearAny motive that is capable of making you operate in a way that causes you long-term physical, emotional,
social, or mental discomfort is a motive that has, most likely, been well buried in order to avoid recognition. Uncovering the reason will almost always bring relief to the eating problem. With experienced hypnotist you are set up for success through the process of uncovering the truth and being honest with yourself, eliminating guilt and fears and bringing confidence in achieving the positive goals. Age and Metabolism also contribute to how your body stores fat. This must affect your strategy to manage weight. For starter, exercise more and create ways to lead a more active lifestyle and your metabolism will speed up, and you will actually feel better emotionally. Why do you accumulate weight and others don't? Is It; What? How Much? How Often? or When? It's all of them! Weight gain has to do with when you eat, how many times a day, at what time of day, how you eat and how much of it you eat at once. What else? Much of why we accumulate weight is the influence of stress. When you are under stress your body chemistry is different.

macGood News!! With hypnotherapy we can directly address the part of your mind that creates cravings, allowing you to act in the way you would like to act around food. Hypnotherapy helps you to lose weight easily in a healthy and natural way without really having to think about it.

Giving up smoking.

Tobacco is one of the most addictive substances known to mankind
,
and smoking is one of the most difficult addictions to overcome. Yet enormous damage is caused by this addiction.
If it is not money that is important to you, because you know you could have bought a car and went on Holiday with the money you spend on cigarettes; If it is not health, because you know that you are killing yourself, your children, and your loved ones around you with your second hand smoke; If it is not image, because you definitely don't look "cool" with a cigarette in your mouth /hand; Than what is important for you?

1) PEOPLE SMOKE TO BLEND IN:
Finding Identity: Usually young people indulge in smoking modelling others whom they admire who smoke. Or their peers, who smoke, so they can fit in. Identification smoking is the most common and the easiest to eliminate.
2) PEOPLE SMOKE OT STAND OUT:
Rebellious Identity: Going against the rules and showing off as a rebellious personality, having no other means to express your personality, but being in others' face with smoking.
3) SUBSTITUTE:
Replacement: Using this habit to fill in the space of a lack of companionship, love, acceptance, lack of self-esteem, security or independence; or to replace another habit such as overeating, or a reaction to anxiety or boredom, etc. Replacement smokers often derive sensual and/or ritualistic gratification from smoking. They enjoy touching or feeling the cigarettes, taping the pack, watching the flame of the lighter, the curling of rising smoke, or the smell of the burning tobacco. Replacement smoking can be the more powerful addiction.

How Hypnotherapy Helps You Stop Smoking.

Hypnosis works well to create change because it temporarily bypasses the conscious mind and allows access to the subconscious mind. The behavioural changes are then experienced through suggestions. Hypnosis, combined with behaviour modification, relaxation techniques, visualization, future pacing, and aversion therapy are powerful techniques to stop smoking. If you can honestly say to yourself that you are ready to commit to giving up smoking, you will quit smoking for good, with no nicotine patches or gums, no pills, no side effects!

Self esteem and Confidence

Self-esteem is a fundamental influence on nearly everything you do. When your self-esteem is low, almost all areas of your life, such as: working, socializing and loving, are made more difficult. You may be extremely critical of yourself, whoohoooor be afraid to attempt anything new. You might even negate your successes by saying "I was just lucky" or "They made a mistake" or.. "Anybody could do that". This kind of self-depreciation is not accidental; nor does it materialize out of nowhere. Loss of self-esteem does not suddenly occur as a symptom at a given age. It reflects a condition that is deeply rooted in the past. Sadly, low self-esteem is most often programmed unintentionally by judgmental parents.

This can program young minds during the formative years. Labels that seem buried and forgotten still reside deeply in the subconscious and contribute to the way you perceive yourself. You can actually inherit the negative "thinking style" of your judgmental parent in the form of a critical inner voice that produces internal fear; fear to try anything new, of change, fear of failure or success, and lack of self-acceptance.

The change to increased self-confidence is well accomplished through hypnosis and positive subconscious reprogramming. Specifically, after we have worked together you will do the following:
Rid yourself of past negative programming
Improve your self-projection, optimism and enthusiasm
Increase your confidence and self-acceptance
Change your perspective on your relationship to a given problem
Pinpoint your goals
Establish a sequence of goals
Experience the sense of completion, achievement, success

Anger Management.

Anger is a completely normal, usually healthy, human emotion. But when it gets out of control and turns destructive, it can lead to problems—problems at work, in your personal relationships, and in the overall quality of your life. And it can make you feel as though you're at the mercy of an unpredictable and powerful emotion. You don’t have to hand your power away any more, you can learn, understand and control anger.
Expressing Anger.
anger
The instinctive, natural way to express anger is to respond aggressively. Anger is a natural, adaptive response to threats; it inspires powerful, often aggressive, feelings and behaviours, which allow us to fight and to defend ourselves when we are attacked. A certain amount of anger, therefore, is necessary to our survival. On the other hand, we can't physically lash out at every person or object that irritates or annoys us; laws, social norms, and common sense place limits on how far our anger can take us.

Anger Management

The goal of anger management is to reduce both your emotional feelings and the physiological arousal that anger causes. You can't get rid of, or avoid, the things or the people that enrage you, nor can you change them, but you can learn to control your reactions.

How Hypnosis Can Help

Hypnosis is a very healthy and helpful way to deal with anger. It is also the fastest way to achieve the desired results. Once you have determined what causes your anger, you can begin to work toward being more in control every time angry thoughts, feelings and actions enter your life.
